πŸ‡ Protect digital assets

This is a guide on protecting the copyright for your digital asset portfolio. Only 4 steps.

For each object, you will receive an international certificate and immutable blockchain records that confirm a timestamp of ownership over the digital asset. Legally speaking, this is a process of depositing without revealing the content itself.

What’s Next?

Next, you can set a price for transferring the exclusive rights to your digital assets. The copyrights remain with you for life, as recorded in the blockchain mentioned above. By setting prices, you can begin the process of transferring rights, for example, to a client β€” more details in the next section.

Tab "Copyrights"

It contains all the digital works you've protected.

πŸ‡ Step 1

Step 2

Select Files (any format) related to your project, work, or creative content. Provide a detailed description of the work. Add object types from the following list and press Next.

List of IP object types
  • Literary Works: This includes documents, books, manuscripts, articles, blogs, poems, and other written content.

  • Musical Works: Compositions, sheet music, lyrics, and sound recordings.

  • Dramatic Works: Plays, screenplays, and scripts.

  • Choreographic Works: Choreography and pantomimes.

  • Visual Arts: Paintings, drawings, sculptures, photographs, and other artistic creations.

  • Graphic and Design Works: Logos, graphic designs, illustrations, and commercial designs.

  • Audiovisual Works: Movies, documentaries, television shows, video clips, and animations.

  • Software and Computer Programs: Source code, object code, and software documentation.

  • Architectural Works: Building designs, blueprints, and architectural plans.

  • Databases: Original databases that exhibit creativity in the selection and arrangement of data.

  • Maps and Technical Drawings: Geographical maps, topographical maps, and architectural drawings.

  • Advertisements: Commercials, advertisements, and promotional materials.

  • Web Content: Website designs, web pages, and digital content.

  • Fashion Designs: Unique clothing designs and accessories. Interactive Media: Video games, virtual reality experiences, and interactive applications.

Important! The service does not upload your files; instead, it takes digital fingerprints of them directly on your device. Legally, this is sufficient for depositing digital assets.

Step 3

You can proceed to the next step if you have connected a crypto wallet.

Connect any Ton wallet, such as Tonkeeper or the built-in Wallet in Telegram. If you are connecting Wallet, don’t forget to activate Ton Space (beta) within – only these wallets can be used from Wallet in Telegram.

Step 4

Declare your copyrights

This process ensures that your rights to digital content will now be officially recorded. We use blockchain to declare ownership, providing undeniable proof that you owned/created the content at this specific moment in time. As of September 2024, Autoproof does not charge any fees for declaration, so the only payment you need to make from your crypto wallet is the blockchain fee, which is usually no more than 0.05 TON (~$0.23 USD, 05/09/24). In the future, Autoproof may introduce an additional fee at this stage.

Note! If you steal and register someone else’s content under your name, the original creators can sue you. They will need to provide evidence that they owned/created the content earlier.

Click the "Confirm" button. You will pay a minimal fee in TON, thereby protecting your copyright and exclusive rights.

Pending

The declaration and rights protection process may take some time β€” from a few seconds to 10 minutes β€” depending on the current load on the blockchain.

You can safely close the service; we will send you a notification and certificates confirming your rights as soon as the data is processed in the blockchain.

After a successful declaration, go inside and click "Open certificate." In addition to sending the certificate directly to you, you can always download it using this button. This certificate is legal proof of the deposition of your data. From this moment, you (assuming you are the creator, not the thief) are the owner of the copyright and exclusive rights to the declared objects.

Next, you can start the process of transferring the exclusive rights, for example, to your client. Learn more about this in the next section "Transfer".

We recommend protecting your creations in advance. If someone steals, publishes, or profits from them, you can present your copyright certificates to stop illegal use or seek compensation.
